Critical Art Ensemble (CAE) is a collective of tactical media artists who explore the intersections between art, critical theory, technology, and political activism. The CAE was formed in 1987 and the original members include Steve Barnes, Dorian Burr, Steve Kurtz, Hope Kurtz and Beverly Schlee.
